June 17th, we ran “Cloud Dev Day: .NET Modernization” event to help you with this task. This is a recap of this event including a list of the useful resources for you and your company to have a successful .NET on Azure journey.
We invited representatives from Microsoft partner companies Capgemini and Cognizant to tell us about their signature .NET projects hosted on Azure – the only end-to-end web hosting platform that offers fully managed services purpose-built to run .NET apps. Capgemini helps the Norwegian Maritime Directorate to issue electronic certificates more efficiently in the cloud
With Azure services, Capgemini ensures that the laws and regulations governing the qualification to receive certificates for vessels and personnel are adapted. Agile parallel project execution and reusability are ensured through extensive use of Azure DevOps to deliver micro-services on a container-based platform.

Azure Modernization Journey for Norway Major Energy Group
In this session, Cognizant experts will walk us through the journey they took with Agder group, whereby implementing multiple complex integrations using Azure services, Cognizant secured the effective delivery of meter data of Agder Energi’s Head End System’s to several business applications, and also to Elhub – which is the neutral datahub that handles all metering data and market processes in the Norwegian electricity market. In addition to that, the effective use of Azure DevOps enabled faster delivery of new functionalities into production, optimal project execution and greater customer experience.
