Businesses around the world are increasingly looking for a solution to help them empower their workforce while also keeping costs down. In a world where every digital initiative requires conspicuous investment and the return is not always guaranteed, having a solution that does, indeed, ensure them both can make a huge difference. Enter Windows 365.
From avoiding new hardware purchases to increased productivity, Windows 365 is the ideal solution for any organization looking to balance costs with digitalization. We recently asked two agencies – Forrester and ESG – to quantify its benefits. Here’s a look at their incredible results.
Reduced costs across IT
Adopting Windows 365 can lead to huge cost cuts in IT spending, particularly in terms of IT infrastructure and operational costs.
Chief amongst these is hardware purchases and maintenance. Forrester found Windows 365 allows to extend the life of older devices and use personal devices securely. Ultimately leading to some $750 in hardware savings per contractor by enabling bring-your-own-PC.
On top of the significant environmental benefits, doing this also means faster on- and off-boarding, as well as decreased time-to-decision. In addition, the study revealed IT savings in matters of contractor onboarding – with an 88% reduction in IT costs for machine deployment – but also maintenance and off boarding, where set up time for new endpoints can be reduced by 75%.
Driving productivity among the workforce
Whether you’re hiring new employees, going through a merger or an acquisition, or simply integrating a new partner, Windows 365 is designed to help you do that in the most seamless way.
As part of its study, Forrester analyzed four different organizations and found end user productivity had improved by 15% since embracing Windows 365. In addition, organizations can recapture some 120 hours of productivity per employee through mergers and acquisitions.
The study also concluded that improved productivity for power user is worth $2.2 million over three years. “The Cloud PCs help power users manage large files and workloads much faster than otherwise possible and can be quickly reconfigured as needs change, helping them to avoid downtime,” it reads.
A more protected and secure infrastructure
Windows 365 provides enhanced security by isolating the software environment from the physical device. This allows companies to manage security more effectively, especially when dealing with external contractors who use their own devices. And, we estimate, it can lead to a $1,000,000 reduction in breach related costs.
Leading by example: Carlsberg’s inspiring work with Windows 365
Up and down Europe, Windows 365 is already helping hundreds of organizations to drive productivity and empower their employees. Danish brewer Carlsberg is a prime example.
One of the leading beer makers in the world, Carlsberg is using Windows 365 and Windows 365 Frontline to provide an employee-centric, well-secured and efficient environment for its disparate workforce.
Previously, employees often faced challenges with their virtual desktops, and resolving these issues could take several hours. Now, with Windows 365 Cloud PCs, the process has become much simpler, leading to a noticeable reduction in user complaints.
Embracing a single platform has allowed Carlsberg to simplify processes and give its workforce a personalized Windows experience that is always available, across devices, exactly where they left off.
