Microsoft, Modern Workplace

Read Time, 2 min.

A permanent desk. At one office. In the same part of town. Those days are numbered. We’re moving on, quite literally. In today’s world, there’s a greater need to be flexible; to be able to think, create and share – anywhere and everywhere. To do it with complete peace of mind, too.

Redefining teamwork

Companies are embracing new forms of collaboration. It’s redefining what we think of as work – and how work fits into our lives.

Modern teams are mobile.

Technology is freeing us to keep moving from anywhere, while new tools are empowering us to unleash our creativity. To share it with anyone.

It’s a new era of mobility. But this fundamental shift comes with challenges.

As workers become agile, organizations must protect company assets and sensitive customer data. As individuals, we need to trust that our personal data is safe and secure.

Our devices and applications are the new frontline of defence.

Under attack

We’re seeing an unprecedented rise in cyberattacks. In 2017, the number of security breaches more than doubled compared to the previous year.

Today, it takes companies on average 99 days to discover a security breach. Another 50 days to address it.

In the most severe cases, attacked companies saw 15% of their stock market value disappear. The damage to the reputation can be devastating.

Embracing change

True collaboration: the flow of information from person to person, device to device, location to location.

This culture requires a new way to secure and protect.

It requires security that is comprehensive and sophisticated. Identifying breaches quickly – stopping them before they spread.

Security rooted in identity; that recognises our finger, our face, our smile.

Businesses have to be more innovative than the attackers.

The latest advancements are making it possible to create a more secure environment, while enabling the free flow of information.

Allowing us to unleash our creativity anywhere. To share it with anyone.

Making anywhere the safest place to work.
