We’re only a few months away from the Windows 10 End of Support deadline. Ten years since its very launch, on 14 October 2025, Windows 10 licenses will stop receiving support on security issues such as bug fixes, vulnerabilities or any other kinds of Technical Support.

Needless to say, this will leave organizations using legacy Windows 10 software more vulnerable, which means you need to act now to make sure yours isn’t left running unsupported OS. But what are your options, and what’s the best for solution for your business?

Here’s a look at what you can do.

How can I get ready?

If your organization currently runs on Windows 10, you have not too much time left to find an alternative and avoid being left exposed and unsupported.

One option you have is to easily upgrade to Windows 11, our latest and most up-to-date operating system bringing you powerful cybersecurity as well as easy, cost-effective, and AI-ready productivity.

You can move to Windows 11 through a software upgrade on capable PCs or by purchasing new Windows 11 PCs.

If you’re late with your migration to Windows 11 or have devices that are not eligible to it, you may consider the option to buy Windows 10 Extended Security Update Program for Windows 10 (ESU). This is thought to give you more time while you’re transitioning to Windows 11 and it will include critical and important security updates, but it won’t include new features, customer-requested non-security updates or design change requests, as well as any other form of support.

If, however, your current devices are not compatible with Windows 11 and you have no plans for HW refresh any sooner, or need, for any reason, to remain on Windows 10, you may also want to consider Windows 365.

Why Windows 365?

Flexible, secure and simple, Windows 365 is the most efficient and versatile solution any organization can adopt to embrace flexible work. It’s an ideal choice for organizations looking to increase productivity while avoiding new hardware purchases.

By adopting Windows 365, you can step up to Windows 11 via our Cloud PC directly from your Windows 10 devices, but with the huge benefits that come from being on the cloud and having a personal virtual desktop system to safely keep your data in.

On top of that, if you decide to roll it out, you will have our ESU security updates included in it for free. So, you will have both a Windows 365 license and the extended security update for your Windows 10 devices.
