Framtiden är tydlig, vi kommer inte få fler händer och fötter i vården, vi behöver bygga nya arbetssätt med stöd av nyteknik. Region Västerbotten har de senaste åren arbetat målmedvetet för att stärka förmågan till att utveckla datadrivna produkter och arbetssätt som ger mer tid för vård. Regionen har arbetat länge med just nyttodelarna med införandet av ny teknik och har gjort stora förflyttningar inom området. Målsättningen är under 2024 att personalen ska genom att nyttja data drivna tillämpningar kunna frigöra 60 000h till annat, och därmed sedan starten 2020 ackumulerat nå över 500 000h.​
