Codec and Evros join only 82 other global companies to achieve expert Azure cloud certification to support organisations to digitally transform.

From a personal perspective, it’s great to start the year on a high by seeing two of our longest-standing gold partners, Codec and Evros, attain membership of the exclusive Microsoft Azure Expert Managed Service Provider (MSP) programme.  Codec and Evros are the first indigenous Irish companies to do so, in fact, only 82 other companies globally have achieved this specialist certification.

The Azure Expert Managed Service Provider (MSP) programme is a global initiative
from Microsoft to provide customers with the confidence that they are working with the
most capable Azure Managed Service Providers. The programme requires partners to
undergo rigorous and independent validation of their capabilities. I’m delighted that Codec and Evros have invested in this capability and they now receive the well-deserved recognition,

Bertrand Launay, GM One Commercial Partner, Microsoft Western Europe.

Our focus at Microsoft is to work with our partners to drive digital transformation for people, organisations, and industries globally.

Aside from the validation that comes from the certification itself, there are a couple of key values Codec and Evros can now bring to customers thanks to achieving this. The first is access to Microsoft programmes to expedite Azure Migration journeys for organisations, and the second is access to Microsoft Azure engineering teams globally, who can provide customers with very specialised expertise.

I am thrilled that Codec and Evros have achieved Azure Expert Managed Service Provider (MSP) status. It means that Irish companies now have this globally recognised cloud expertise right on their doorstep. As organisations rapidly adapt to the challenges of the hybrid workplace, these specialised cloud services will be key to helping Irish organisations digitally transform.

As we cannot meet in person this year, I’m sharing a photo from the 2018 Partner of the Year awards with Larry Tobin, Ronan Stafford and John Roddy from Codec.

Codec is delighted to be awarded Azure Expert MSP status achieving the top tier accreditation that Microsoft has globally. This is great news for Codec as we look to lead from the front in terms of driving adoption to the cloud and transforming and enabling our customers.

Ronan Stafford, CEO Codec Ireland.

Microsoft Teams Meeting

Here’s a screen grab of our call with Evros celebrating the news

“At Evros, we already have an extremely comprehensive cloud offering which includes fully manned, global 24x7x365 support provided by our offices across Ireland and Auckland, New Zealand. However, this accreditation which was driven and led by our Principal Azure Solution Architect and Microsoft MVP, Joe Carlyle, enables us to add an extra level of quality to our customer engagement from presales, right through to our engineering team.”

says Evros Operations Director, Caroline Godsil.

It’s been a particularly difficult year for so many organisations who have had to rapidly move workloads to the cloud and adapt to the challenges of managing their employees remotely. The more that organisations have easy access to the right expertise to support their digital strategy, the more seamless their transformation will be.

We look forward to seeing how Codec and Evros grow in 2021, and I am excited to see what innovations our partners bring to Irish organisations to help them in their digital transformation journey.
