Female CEO leading a business meeting

Digital transformation. You’ve heard the phrase a million times. But what does it actually mean? A quick search will bring up 519 million results. So, it’s fair to say there’s no shortage of info out there – much of it useless, overcomplicated and adding to the noise. So, how about we think of it this way: A new response to old problems.

Connecting people. Making the most of our data. Understanding our customers and employees better. It’s about technology creating new opportunities – and new ways of imagining tomorrow’s workplace.

Technology that works together

A major challenge is integrating these new technologies and ensuring our systems and applications work together, seamlessly and painlessly.

Leading transport operator, Go-Ahead Singapore, understood exactly this when planning its digital transformation strategy.

The goal? To become a transport operator for the future.

Go-Ahead Singapore operates 28 bus services across eastern and central Singapore. That’s a lot of busses, a lot of bus drivers, and a lot of commuters.

The company used to store its data across various systems. But as it continued to grow, Go-Ahead Singapore needed to adopt technology that could work with its current systems to improve operational efficiency.

It partnered with a local consulting company, who recommended a solution that would integrate seamlessly with its existing systems, meaning the only disruption its customers would experience was limited to traffic issues beyond its control.

And what an impact it had.

Service resumed with Dynamics 365

Dynamics 365 has improved Go-Ahead Singapore’s bus services, allowed employees to act on commuter feedback, and resulted in the best customer service and satisfaction to date.

The company’s management team can now gather and analyse information on bus captains’ performances with ease. And the finance team can keep better track of the cash boxes on board their buses.

In fact, Go-Ahead Singapore is so happy with the results of using Dynamics 365 that it is now looking to roll out new on-demand employee bus services that will improve bus captain welfare and provide an insight into what future technology the company needs.
