Every year, we gather for Microsoft Inspire, where our partners connect, learn, and collaborate to accelerate the digital transformation and success of Microsoft customers. It is an incredible opportunity to strengthen partnerships with Microsoft and other partners while finding new opportunities to build and grow.

As part of this, we host awards to recognise and celebrate partners who demonstrate excellence in innovation and implementation of customer solutions based on Microsoft technology. With over 16,000 partners attending, these awards are hotly contested. I was privileged to help recognise our impressive and innovative Irish partners this year at the 2018 Partner of the Year Awards at Microsoft Inspire.

Our partner Codec scooped the accolade for Country Partner of the Year in Ireland. We were delighted to recognise Codec as this is the second successive year they have won the award and the third time in the last four years. Given the quality and calibre of all the entrants, Codec’s win is all the more impressive as it continues to distinguish itself as a top partner. Codec exemplifies remarkable expertise, innovation and versatility in bringing cutting-edge solutions to complex business challenges and providing digital transformation opportunities for our customers. Codec also garnered awards for the best Data Centre Transformation and Business Application Awards.

Codec was not the only winner. E&Y, Spanish Point, and Ergo were also recognised with awards for Compliance, Application Modernisation, and Modern Workplace. Additionally, Action Point was recognised for its work in the Data and AI category while Threatscape scooped an award for its work in the security space. Microwarehouse was announced as a winner in the Channel Distribution category and finally, Micromail won an award for its work in licensing.
