At Microsoft, we know that our products and services have the potential to change the world.  That’s why a key priority for us, and for our partners, is the meaningful innovation of products and services that rise to meet and solve the everyday challenges faced by our customers. For us, innovation becomes most meaningful when it is applied by an organisation that has the ability to positively impact a wider audience.

Every year, we host global awards to recognise partners who embody what we believe to be the most important qualities for any organisation; innovation, collaborative culture, and excellence in their standard of work.

Our Irish partners who make the shortlist for nomination have continuously demonstrated excellence in innovation and in the implementation of customer solutions based on Microsoft technology. Each year, these awards strive to recognise partners of Microsoft who share our vision for creative problem-solving and value solutions-driven innovation.

Each year of the annual Microsoft awards programme, one award stands out as the most prestigious. The Country Partner of the Year Award recognises the best company in a region for their forward-thinking, agility and customer focus. eir evo embodies all of these values, and they have been a key partner in helping Microsoft reach our innovation goals. That is why I was delighted to recently announce that eir evo as the Microsoft Ireland Country Partner of the Year Award for 2022.

Since being established last year, eir evo has grown rapidly to become Ireland’s number one telecommunications and ICT solutions provider. Employing more than 600 people across both the island of Ireland and New Zealand, eir evo offers world-class digital transformation services for Ireland’s SME, enterprise and government organisations.

eir evo provides a unique offering to the Irish marketplace, serving business customers with end-to-end solutions across telecommunications and IT services including mobility solutions (with Ireland’s largest 5G network), cutting edge networking technology, public and private cloud, cyber security, managed services and IT resourcing.

The Microsoft judges were impressed by many aspects of eir evo’s business practice. Having been formed in 2021 following the merger of eir Business and Evros Technology Group, eir evo is already our largest partner cloud solutions provider. In the last year, they have leveraged Microsoft products and services such as Azure, Dynamics 365 and Power Apps to help accelerate the growth and development of customers across both the public and private sectors, spanning industries such as transport, aviation and communications. In addition, eir evo has also built out great practices for our customers in Microsoft Azure, Power Apps, and security, helping to facilitate best working practise and business growth for our customers. The team at eir evo has worked in collaboration with their Microsoft counterparts to be consistently customer-focussed and help organisations achieve more.

eir evo has been on an incredible journey over the last year and have demonstrated time and again the importance they place on innovating, working to push boundaries and most importantly, keeping the customer at the centre of everything they do. They continue to invest heavily across their Microsoft practices and have a strong record of driving multi-cloud adoption of Microsoft Solutions with their customers, ensuring our customers get the most out of the technology they own. In addition, eir evo has established co-sell practices with Microsoft which enable both companies to come together to land leading-edge technology solutions which help solve the challenges faced by our mutual customers. Their commitment to meeting customer expectations, and collaborating with Microsoft to ensure best-in-class solutions, has been a clear priority for them since their inception.

Martin Wells, Managing Director, eir evo said;

We, in eir evo, are delighted to be named Microsoft Country Partner of the Year for 2022. This announcement acknowledges the unrivalled expertise and broad skill set that is evident every day in eir evo and our commitment to our Microsoft partnership. We are proud to be able to provide our customers with the highest quality service and ICT solutions across the Microsoft product portfolio to all our customers.

At Microsoft, our mission is to empower people and organisations, and it’s clear that partners like eir evo are following a similar mission of making more possible for Irish organisations.
