Microsoft Ireland announces the creation of 200 new EMEA Digital Sales jobs.

Less than four years ago, Dublin was selected as the home for Microsoft’s EMEA Digital Sales organisation. Since then, it has been at the forefront of Microsoft’s own journey of transformation as a company.

From small beginnings, we have built up a sales force that is soon to be over 1,000 strong, and embraced new ways of working, as well as advancements in technology, to empower our customers and partners to achieve more.

Today marks a further milestone in that journey. Taoiseach Micheál Martin joined Microsoft Ireland virtually to announce the further expansion of our EMEA Digital Sales team with the creation of 200 new jobs. This investment allows us to meet and exceed the needs of our customers and partners, as we engage them at a critical time in their digital journey, guiding them on the path to digital transformation and business success.

We are seeking applications to fill a broad array of digital sales positions, including Sales Representatives, Technical Sales Specialists, Cloud Solution Architects, Account Executives and Sales Managers.

Recruitment is already underway and we are particularly interested in hiring those with fluency in languages including English, French, German, Dutch, Swedish, Norwegian, Italian, and Spanish to help meet the needs of customers across the EMEA region.

It is a really exciting time to join the EMEA Digital Sales team. Our rapid growth is creating superb career development opportunities for an increasingly dynamic team, which today represents more than 75 nationalities and fluency in over 35 languages. At Microsoft, the impact our team members can have is as big as their ambition allows. Culturally, we embrace the growth mindset to empower every person and organisation on the planet to achieve more. We are dedicated to working with purpose and empower our employees to achieve that purpose in everything they do.

This mindset has enabled our team to support our customers and partners to successfully navigate the current pandemic. Our new recruits will have the opportunity to build on those efforts, by putting new technologies to work to provide an innovative and personal sales experience.  They will harness the power of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, to play a key role in accelerating digital transformation for organisations across the globe in the months and years ahead, ensuring that the very latest digital technologies are used to fuel business recovery and reframe how we engage customers and do business long into the future.

We also announced today the creation of our new Microsoft Sales Academy, which will enable recruits from a variety of backgrounds and with little or no digital skills to establish a career in digital sales. Over time, the Sales Academy will support our broader recruitment efforts, by building and nurturing a diverse pipeline of talent, ensuring our team reflects the diversity of the customers we serve.

Of the 200 positions announced today, 25 are for Sales Academy positions.  On completion of a six-month sales training programme, the recruits will join our Dublin-based team, sparking a new wave of creativity that has the potential to reimagine the future – for our company and for our customers.

So, if you are ambitious, looking to make an impact and want to play a role in helping global businesses to reimagine their future, why don’t you give yourself the perfect launchpad for the next step in your career at Microsoft EMEA Digital Sales?
