Microsoft / UCD MSc in Digital Policy

The MSc in Digital Policy is designed to prepare graduates for careers in evaluating, implementing, and studying core topical, theoretical, and methodological issues that arise in digital policy today. The course will take a multi-disciplinary approach to investigating the institutional and public policy dimensions of the prevalence of digital technology, as well as the underlying social conditions (economic, political, and cultural) and public/private sector contexts that give rise to such technologies and their governance.

MSc in Quantum Science and Technology, Trinity College Dublin

Since 2021, Microsoft Ireland has partnered with Trinity College Dublin to accelerate advancements in quantum tech and train new leaders in this field. Through the partnership Microsoft funds PhD students working on cutting-edge quantum research at TCD. In addition Microsoft funds a scholarship programme for women in the master’s course in quantum science and technology at the university. This is part of an overall effort to develop the future skills required to help place Ireland at the forefront of quantum as this new computing technology develops and has an even greater impact on our lives. Trinity has already embarked upon a series of groundbreaking research projects using Microsoft quantum computing technologies. In May 2023, Microsoft deepened its relationship with Trinity College Dublin this area and alongside IBM, co-founded the Trinity Quantum Alliance: a place for industry and academia to work side-by-side to advance quantum technology and develop quantum computing skills.
