Digital Transformation business practices are expanding at a faster pace than ever. According to the latest Worldwide Semiannual Digital Transformation Spending Guide from IDC, the worldwide spending on Digital Transformation rockets by the end of 2018 to almost 1 trillion EUR. Digital Transformation practices are big business. Companies are in dire need to digitize their business and get a grasp on their digital agenda. In conversations with executives, they most often disclose, that in order to shape a sustainable and future-proof business it is imperative for them to foster Digital Transformation.
But how do you know if your Digital Transformation ventures truly help in keeping you on the right path to (customer) success? How do you know if Digital Transformation supports in creating value for your organisation? Which metrics do you need to measure your Digital Transformation success? By what means is your Digital Transformation business case leading to determine success?
What is the true business value of digital transformation to your organisation?
All these questions trigger more questions in response and the main reason is that there is no straight path to success. Generally, business value is measured in financial terms, stakeholder satisfaction, performance of business processes or learning and growth. Nonetheless, in our digital business community, we recognize the need of executives to talk to their peers about their Digital Transformation experiences and success. The most often complex nature of Digital Transformation programmes drives executives unable to see the wood for the trees on how to measure intrinsic success.
In the next two months, I have scheduled meetings with executives to share their insights on the business value of Digital Transformation. These stories will be shared amongst the members our Microsoft business community CraniumConnect and moreover, we have dedicated our annual signature event, Dynamics Experience 2018 to seek to understand the business value of Digital Transformation and share experiences and insights with 500 executives.
On Wednesday 14 November, Dynamics Experience takes place at Spant! in Bussum, the Netherlands. Dynamics Experience is for more than a decade the leading independent Microsoft Business Applications conference in the Benelux region. This one-day conference is focused on executives and professionals who want to get inspired by Microsoft’s most successful customer stories, digital thought leaders, and their peers – executives who are serious about building a future-proof digital business. CraniumConnect’s executive members have the opportunity to attend all of our conferences and events free of charge and furthermore, they will receive a complimentary ticket for a colleague.
