We were looking for individuals who are reaching new heights in the industry and who are proven champions of promoting diversity and inclusion.\u00a0 And we wanted to help raise the visibility of these leaders, to inspire women in the field at all stages of their careers.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:257}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">We saw an incredible response, receiving more than 150 nominations across 11 countries. We were absolutely blown away by the caliber of these professionals and by their enumerable achievements. The judges did not have any easy job.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">The 12 winners will be invited to join a bespoke Women Leaders Executive Program developed and led by Jennifer Petriglieri, Associate Professor of Organizational Behavior at INSEAD.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"TextRun SCXW80453762 BCX8\" lang=\"EN-US\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\" data-contrast=\"none\"><span class=\"NormalTextRun CommentStart CommentHighlightPipeClicked CommentHighlightClicked SCXW80453762 BCX8\" data-ccp-charstyle=\"Intense Reference\">Equal representation of women in the tech industry is an issue that affects every business<\/span><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">There is a stack of research that shows diverse teams are more innovative and more effective.\u00a0 However, less than <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mckinsey.com\/capabilities\/mckinsey-digital\/our-insights\/women-in-tech-the-best-bet-to-solve-europes-talent-shortage?wt.mc_id=AID3058212_QSG_638450\"><span data-contrast=\"auto\">a quarter<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"none\"> of technology roles in Europe are currently held by women. In addition, only <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.accenture.com\/_acnmedia\/pdf-134\/accenture-a4-gwc-report-final1.pdf?wt.mc_id=AID3058212_QSG_645109\"><span data-contrast=\"auto\">21%<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"none\"> believe that the technology industry is one that they can thrive in \u2013 so we need to change this perception if we are going to collectively address these issues and ensure Europe continues innovating at pace.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:257}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"ui-provider a b c d e f g h i j k l m n o p q r s t u v w x y z ab ac ae af ag ah ai aj ak\" dir=\"ltr\">I want to congratulate all the remarkable nominees and to spotlight one of our winners, Esther Lucena, Head of Partner Sales, Western Europe at Adobe. Esther\u2019s work promoting diversity spans multiple countries across the region, and she has been an active contributor to a wide range of DEI initiatives at Adobe, including creating a stronger dialogue between women and the global leadership community.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">Esther is passionate about the power of coaching and mentoring to help cultivate the next generation of women in leadership roles<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">. \u201cWinning this award is about leading by example, inspiring success and empowering talented women to work at their best, while living a life of fulfilment. We need to take each opportunity to promote diversity and inclusion, whilst contributing to creating networks which offer comprehensive mentoring and coaching for women. We also need to speak up about the challenges women face and how to overcome them.
