We recently worked with RT\u00c9 to drive learning and collaboration. I was struck by how they have embraced Microsoft Teams and how they are now using it as a tool to drive information sharing and collaboration in their organisation with their dispersed work force.<\/p>\n

Today\u2019s workplace is evolving, with companies at every level of industry adopting a digital culture. Although organisations may differ in the way they have integrated digital technology into their operations, there\u2019s really no such thing as non-digital business anymore. RT\u00c9 use Microsoft Teams to enhance learning and collaboration across their dispersed work force<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Raidi\u00f3 Teilif\u00eds \u00c9ireann (RT\u00c9), Ireland\u2019s national broadcaster has a long history of innovation and pioneering in broadcasting. The discussion began with a challenge – the Learning and Access department wanted a shared online community. RT\u00c9 have a very dispersed work force, close to 2,000 employees, across multiple platforms and regions \u201c\u201cwe needed to find a more efficient way of creating training programmes that would engage people and centralise training while developing communities of learning. Technology is a key channel for this as not all training is face to face. \u201c Microsoft\u2019s Adoption Change Management Consultant worked with RT\u00c9 and ran several workshops where we focused on their challenges and then discussed what technology could support their requirements. Microsoft Teams was identified as the most relevant solution to address all their needs.<\/p>\n

Microsoft Teams has transformed how RT\u00c9 delivers training internally by centralising training courses from a paper-based experience to an online community environment that allows attendees to continue their learning and collaboration long after the offsite training has been completed. Teams has enabled RT\u00c9 to enhance face to face learning.<\/p>\n

Teams has quickly spread across the RT\u00c9 campus. Teams has rolled out to the Operations department to manage operational resources and the Project Management Office is now rolling out all projects through Teams. To get people up to speed on the benefits of Microsoft Teams, RT\u00c9 tapped into employeee\u2019s passions by supporting their Running groups, Choirs and Irish Language classes on Teams. RT\u00c9 are continuing to see where Teams can add benefit within their organisation.<\/p>\n

With RT\u00c9, it\u2019s been fantastic to be able to work with such an iconic customer who is on a sustained cultural transformation journey. By removing the technology from conversation and focusing on business needs and more importantly challenges we managed to show the real value in adopting and using Teams.<\/p>\n
