Microsoft / UCD MSc in Digital Policy

The MSc in Digital Policy is designed to prepare graduates for careers in evaluating, implementing, and studying core topical, theoretical, and methodological issues that arise in digital policy today. The course will take a multi-disciplinary approach to investigating the institutional and public policy dimensions of the prevalence of digital technology, as well as the underlying social conditions (economic, political, and cultural) and public/private sector contexts that give rise to such technologies and their governance.

Maynooth University – FUSE/Data Science

The SFI Centre for Research Training in Foundations of Data Science will train a cohort of PhD students with world-class foundational understanding in the horizontal themes of Applied Mathematics, Statistics, and Machine Learning. These fundamental themes will be fused together by applying them to real-world challenges in vertical themes including Data Analytics, Privacy and Security, Smart Manufacturing, Networks, and Health and Wellbeing.

The SFI Centre for Research Training in Digitally-Enhanced Reality will focus on the development of digital skills for next generation human-centric media technology, including machine intelligence-based sensing and understanding of digital content and information, its transformation and personalisation, its multimodal interaction and delivery via speech, text, video, image and VR/AR, and its impactful application in multiple industry and societal settings.

UCD – MLLAB Machine Learning

The Science Foundation Ireland Centre for Research Training in Machine Learning is designed to address the urgent industry demand for ML talent. The centre trains academically outstanding, industry-ready PhD graduates in tightly connected cohorts. These graduates will be future leaders managing the disruption that ML is causing across industry and society, and will strengthen the reputation of Ireland as a global hub for ML education, research, and application.
